A solvent-based varnish that goes on clear and dries clear. It overcomes the yellowing effect associated with traditional varnishes. The product dries to a smooth, low-sheen matt finish. It can be used on common plastics used to manufacture model kits. This includes polystyrene and ABS, as well as MDF. Matt cote is usually applied as the final coat to a fully painted and decaled model. The coverage is dependent on application and thickness of coats.
You can apply it with a brush or an airbrush. Thin it suitably when airbrushing using Humbrol Enamel Thinners.
Surface dry in 1 hour. Fully dry after 24 hours. Drying times will vary according to ambient temperature and humidity. Recoat after 24 hours.
To clean a brush, use Humbrol Enamel Thinners. To clean an airbrush, flush thoroughly using Humbrol Enamel Thinners.
