This kit is a highly detailed scale replica of the Team Reinert Racing MAN TGS racing truck.
Team Reinert Racing is a German team that competes in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. From their formation in 2012 to 2019 they raced a MAN TGS truck. The TGS model is versatile, light, and powerful. The blue colours of their trucks are now a fixture in truck racing. Specifically, this kit reproduces the truck as it was in 2016.
Tamiya models are renowned for their realism, and this kit is no exception.
The kit uses Tamiya’s TT-01 Type-E chassis. This is a four-wheel-drive chassis with its motor and battery close to the ground for lower center of gravity and optimum balance. A fiberglass reinforced nylon upper deck mounted on the bathtub frame improves rigidity. As does the gear covers. A 3-piece tie rod provides a smoother steering action. The low center of gravity, great balanced design, 4 wheel double wishbone suspension system, and front and rear differential gears all come together to produce excellent operating ability.
New wheels and tyres specifically made for this model gives ultimate performance; the high side walls make for forgiving turns.
The 4-piece polycarbonate body sits atop the chassis. It is lightweight and durable. The kit also includes separately molded plastic side mirrors, coupler and rear bumper parts.
Light cases for headlights are provided, and can be lit up with the aid of separately sold LEDs.
Many stickers are included in order to recreate the sponsored logos on the truck.
This is a remote control kit that requires assembly. The kit also requires painting, either by using the suggested paint schemes or however else you would like! Paint this kit using Polycarbonate Spray Paint (PS). This type of paint is appropriate for use with flexible shells – the paint won’t crack off.
